NOVUM Hospitality Hotels expands to Amsterdam

The First-Class-Hotel with 245 rooms will be created as a new structure in a superb maritim location – european expansion continues

The european expansion of the NOVUM Hotel Group takes shape: A new hotel is being built at the port of Amsterdam, not far from this international metropolis’ city centre. The first class hotel with 245 rooms will be branded „NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam“, with an opening planned for 2019.

“As part of our international expansion, we have now made a decisive step towards establishing our brand in Europe”, says David Etmenan, CEO of the NOVUM Hospitality, regarding the contract signing. After the first hotel in Vienna, there is, apart from Amsterdam, another hotel construction planned in Budapest, Hungary. “Further NOVUM Hotels will follow in Europe”, says Etmenan. The Hamburg-based hotel company is currently operating over 80 hotels with more than 7.500 rooms. The primary goal is to increase this number to 150 hotels by 2020.

The NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam will be built at the Cruquiuseiland, directly next to the inner city. In addition, there are numerous facilities planned, like a Serviced Apartment house (operated by the Short Stay Group) and a marina with 200 berths for yachts as well as a two-floor underground car park. The Dutch HBB Group is the project developer. No data regarding the level of investments were disclosed.

First-Class-Hotel mit 245 Zimmern entsteht als Neubau in maritimer Bestlage – europäische Expansion geht weiter

Die europäische Expansion der NOVUM Hotel Group nimmt weitere Formen an: Nun entsteht ein Neubau in bester Lage am Hafen von Amsterdam, unweit des Stadtzentrums der internationalen Metropole. Das First-Class-Hotel mit 245 Zimmern wird als „NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam“ auftreten, die Eröffnung in rund drei Jahren erfolgen.

“Im Rahmen unseres internationalen Ausbaus sind wir nun einen entscheidenden Schritt vorangekommen”, so David Etmenan, geschäftsführender Gesellschafter der NOVUM Hospitality, anlässlich der Vertragsunterzeichnung. Nach einem ersten Hotelstandort in Wien ist neben Amsterdam ein weiterer Hotelneubau in Budapest/Ungarn in Planung. “Weitere NOVUM Hotels in Europa werden folgen”, so Etmenan. Die in Hamburg gegründete Hotelkette betreibt derzeit über 80 Häuser mit mehr als 7.500 Zimmern im deutschsprachigen Raum. Bis 2020 soll die Zahl der Hotels auf 150 gesteigert werden.

Das NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam entsteht als Neubau im sog. Cruquiuseiland, in direkter Nachbarschaft zur Innenstadt. Zudem sind ein Serviced-Apartment-Haus (betrieben von der Short Stay Group) und eine Marina mit 200 Liegeplätzen für Yachten, sowie eine zweigeschossige Tiefgarage geplant. Projektentwickler ist die niederländische HBB Gruppe. Angaben zur Höhe der Investitionen wurden nicht gemacht.
